• Direct Nursing support related to aspects of disability care (ventilation management, tracheostomy management, diabetes management, etc). 
• Consultancy, Learning & Development. 

• Our trained support workers and mentors can provide support on a daily, weekly, or flexible basis as you engage with your community, social and/or recreational goals.
• We can help you access the things you want to do, or try in life, including:
• attending classes (e.g., for music, art or anything else you want to try!)
• exploring new hobbies
• attending the footy or going to concerts
• doing activities such as fishing, ten pin bowling, or dancing.
• The activities you choose to do are completely up to you. What would you like to try? It’s your choice and your life 

Our service is for a variety of outings:

• travelling to work
• getting to school
• attending medical appointments
• going shopping
• accessing larger parts of your social networks.
• social gatherings
• concerts and cultural events
• scenic road trips
• delightful tours

The flexibility of our service means that your itinerary is entirely up to you. Plan a day, an evening, or even a weekend getaway, and trust that our experienced drivers will provide a smooth and accommodating travel experience.

Our trained Support Coordinators can help with a range of things, including:

• understanding and navigating your NDIS plan, including your budget
• addressing any barriers you come across in regards to your plan or your supports
• providing assistance to connect you with supports and services you need to achieve your goals
• using the MyGov website and your portal
• preparing for your plan review

Our Support Coordinators will ensure that you receive the best possible options so you can choose the supports that will most benefit you. 

Supported Independent Living (SIL)

• Amazing Help provides long-term or permanent accommodation to SIL participants. Depending on your individual needs, you can expect assistance with:
• personal care
• cooking and cleaning
• preparing meals
• taking medication
• using public transport
• engaging in the community and/or social events.
• The level of support for each of these activities is vary, depending on the level of support someone requires.
• This service is available as 24-hour support, or brief periods during the day or evening, and is adaptable according to your needs.
• Your unique care and support needs are always considered to ensure this service meets your personal goals. 

Medium Term Accommodation(MTA)
Funding for MTA only covers the cost of the accommodation for the time you stay there.

• For example, you might need medium term accommodation while you wait for your home modifications to be completed, or you’ve already secured Specialist Disability Accommodation, but you’re waiting for another person to move out before you can move in.
• Funding for medium term accommodation doesn’t include day-to-day living costs like food, internet or electricity. It also doesn’t include any personal care supports, or other supports you get in your home.
• Currently using another NDIS provider? You can choose to change providers at any time, as long as you follow the notice periods in your service agreement.
  

Short Term Accommodation includes:

• personal care
• accommodation
• food
• activities that are agreed upon.

Funding is available for up to 28 days per year but is limited to 14 days at a time. If you feel 14 days at a time is not enough and that you are looking for longer term arrangements then you can contact us to find out more about medium and long term accommodation arrangements.

• Currently using another NDIS provider? You can choose to change providers at any time, as long as you follow the notice periods in your service agreement.
  

Individualised Living Options (ILO)

There are two stages to this support:

• The first stage will help you decide where and how you want to live - you may want to live with friends or housemates, it's up to you. The stage also explores what supports you need to live the way that best suits you and who will provide those supports.
• The second stage is putting these supports into place. We will help you get set up in your chosen living arrangement with the supports you need. 

The support your ILO could include can differ person to person, depending on your situation and needs. Here are some examples:

• Support to make decisions, such as where you want to live and the supports you need. 
• Assistance to set up and manage your own home.
• Support to build your independence.
• Training for the people who support you.

Please note ILO does not including funding for where you live or home modifications, rent or mortgage repayments, and everyday costs (such as bills or groceries).

Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA)

Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) is a range of housing designed for people with very high needs.

• SDA homes are constructed to be more accessible for you. They enable better or safer delivery of other supports you may need. SDA usually involves a shared home with a small number of other people.
• It’s easy to get SDA and Supported Independent Living (SIL) confused, as both supports aim to help people live independently. But while SIL is about supports, SDA funding is provided to cover the capital (bricks and mortar) costs of the dwelling.
• Finding the right fit for you is important. Things to consider include how close it is to suitable transport options, whether it is close to your friends, family, or employment, and if the location suits your lifestyle.
• Finding and successfully applying for an SDA can be a daunting task, so an experienced Support Coordinator is an invaluable resource.

Where is Specialist Disability Accommodation in My Plan?

Specialist Disability Accommodation is available to you if it appears in your NDIS plan under CAPITAL Supports.
